CREMATION: Less common among Zimbabweans due to cultural and religious preferences, but chosen by some, particularly if cost is a major factor. Cremation costs £1,000-4,000. Ashes can be sent to Zimbabwe for scattering or burial at a much lower cost than full repatriation. FUNERAL DIRECTORS: Several funeral directors in the UK specialise in serving the African diaspora community and understand Zimbabwean customs. They can accommodate all-night vigils, community gatherings, and cultural requirements.
