UK Visa Requirements for Zimbabweans — Overview

Zimbabwean passport holders require a visa to enter the United Kingdom for any purpose including tourism, business, work, and study. There is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival access. All visas must be applied for in advance through the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) service, with biometric enrolment at the VFS Global visa application centre in Harare. The main visa categories relevant to Zimbabweans are: Standard Visitor Visa: For tourism, visiting family, or short business trips. Valid for up to 6 months. Does not allow work or study. Costs from £115. Applicants must show ties to Zimbabwe, sufficient funds, and intention to return. Skilled Worker Visa: For those with a job offer from a UK employer with a Home Office sponsor licence. The job must meet the minimum salary threshold (generally £38,700 as of 2026, though some roles in healthcare and education have lower thresholds).
