Key visa categories: Skilled Worker Visa — most common, requires employer sponsorship, RQF Level 3+ job, meets salary threshold. Health and Care Worker Visa — subset of Skilled Worker with reduced fees and IHS exemption for NHS, care, and health sector roles. Student Visa — for study at a licensed sponsor institution, can work limited hours, may switch to Graduate Visa (2 years post-study work) then Skilled Worker. Family Visa — for joining a British citizen or settled person partner/spouse, requires minimum income threshold. Visit Visa — up to 6 months, no work permitted. Global Talent Visa — for leaders or potential leaders in academia, research, arts, or digital technology, no job offer needed. Youth Mobility is not available to Zimbabweans. Ancestry Visa — if you have a UK-born grandparent, allows 5-year work and residence. Each visa has specific requirements, costs, and pathways to settlement. Plan your immigration journey strategically — some visas lead to permanent residence and others do not. Immigration advice should come from OISC-registered advisers or solicitors, not unregulated agents.
