The Zimbabwean diaspora in the UK is estimated at 200,000-500,000 people, concentrated in London (Luton, Slough, Coventry, South London), Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, and Edinburgh. Many arrived during the economic crisis of the 2000s. Common routes: skilled worker visas (NHS healthcare workers, teachers, engineers), student visas, asylum, family reunification. The community maintains ties through churches, social clubs, cultural events, and WhatsApp groups.
