High Court dismisses Afghan national's ARAP relocation judicial review

The UK High Court dismissed a judicial review in STS v Secretary of State for Defence [2026] EWHC 363 brought by an Afghan national refused relocation under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP). The court held that the claimant's role was too remote from UK counter-narcotics objectives to constitute a substantive and positive contribution to UK national security. The ruling narrows the scope of who qualifies for ARAP relocation to the UK.
