State seeks court order to compel Magaya to plead to rape charges

Prosecutors at the Harare Regional Magistrates Court have applied to compel PHD Ministries founder Walter Magaya to formally plead to rape charges, accusing him of filing 'frivolous and vexatious' applications to delay his criminal trial. The application was filed around 13 March 2026. Magaya has not yet entered a formal plea since the charges were brought.
