Zimbabwe Agro Minimum Wage Rises 8% in Sugarcane Subsector

The National Employment Council for the Agricultural Industry (NEC Agriculture) has announced an 8% increase in the minimum wage for workers in the sugarcane subsector. The wage has been raised from US$137 to approximately US$148 per month. The adjustment is aimed at improving conditions for agricultural workers in one of Zimbabwe's key agro-industrial sectors.
